Manage Country Codes

Use country codes to create a list of cities and other political subdivisions used frequently in international addresses. The process streamlines the steps for addressing mail just as zip codes help to identify addresses in the United States.

Go to: Home > Codes and Criteria > Demographics > Country Codes

Add a Country Code

  1. Click .
  2. Enter a name for the country code and click .
  3. Enter a description for the country code (the name of the country).
  4. At Social Security Code, select a Social Security Administration (SSA) country code to associate your with country code.
  5. At HIPAA Country Code, select a HIPAA-compliant country code to associate with your country code.
  6. In the Possibilities for Address Line 3 table, enter address line 3 information for countries outside of the United States. Note that this table is required for country codes that aren’t in the United States. Postal zip codes in the United States eliminate the need for a third address line.
    • Click .
    • Enter the address line 3 information in the Description column.
    • If you need to delete a row you added, select the row and click .
  7. At the Currency Codes table, select a currency type to associate with this country code.
    • Click .
    • Select or enter the currency in the Code column. The currency’s description will display automatically.
    • If you need to delete a row you added, select the row and click .
  8. Click Save icon to save.

Update a Country Code

  1. Select a country code to edit.
  2. Edit the Description, Social Security or HIPAA Country Codes, Possibilities for Address Line 3, or Currency Codes information.
  3. Click Save icon to save.

Delete a Country Code

  1. Select a country code to delete from the list.
  2. Click .
  3. At the message "Are you sure you want to delete this Country Code?" click to delete it.
  4. The country code is deleted from the list.
